Chief Accountant (Finance)

What you will do

• Post all transactions in accounting systems (1C, SAP) ensuring full compliance with Chinese GAAP and Group policies.
• Oversee GL, manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Calculate taxes (CIT, VAT, WHT, TP) and prepare all tax-related reporting and declarations.
• Manage payroll-related taxes and coordinate with payroll providers.
• Handle treasury functions, including online banking payments, bank statement posting, and KYC reviews.
• Liaise with tax authorities and coordinate with the Group Financial Department to mitigate risks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably as a Chief or Senior Accountant.
• Proven experience managing accounting as a one-person role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Chinese GAAP and local accounting practices.
• Solid experience with Chinese taxation (CIT, VAT, WHT, TP, payroll).
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.
• Chinese: Fluent / professional proficiency (must-have).
