TL;DR

Senior .NET Backend Developer (Fintech): Developing and extending digital banking solutions using the Backbase platform with an accent on microservices architecture and distributed systems. Location: Must be based in Canada (100% remote)

Salary: CAD $90,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do

  • Design and implement robust backend services using .NET Core and C#.
  • Integrate and extend the Backbase digital banking platform for clients.
  • Collaborate with Designers and Product Managers to deliver high-impact products.
  • Develop large-scale distributed systems and Microservices architectures.
  • Transform business requirements into scalable technical architecture.
  • Perform peer code reviews to ensure clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of production-level experience in .NET (C#, .NET Core / .NET 5+, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework).
  • Expertise in Backbase digital banking platform integration and extension.
  • Must be based in Canada.
  • Proficiency in RESTful Web Services, APIs, and unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Enterprise Integration Patterns (e.g., MassTransit, MediatR).

Nice to have

  • Experience within the FinTech sector or working with banks and credit unions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and TDD.
  • Knowledge of OWASP best practices for secure code development.
  • Experience with Hibernate or other persistence frameworks.
