Online Tech Programmer Intern (Java)

Online Tech Programmer Intern (Java/Spring Boot): Developing and maintaining high-performance online systems and internal tooling for live games with an accent on low-latency delivery and scalable backend services. Location: On-site in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Must be enrolled in a Dutch school and be within commuting distance

What you will do

• Develop internal tooling for dynamic configuration management across live services.
• Build and maintain backend services, frontend components, and cloud infrastructure.
• Implement instrumentation for monitoring and logging service health and availability.
• Collaborate with Online Infrastructure teams to learn Kubernetes, scalability, and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and the full software development lifecycle in a high-scale production environment.

Requirements

• Currently studying a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Currently enrolled in a Dutch school.
• Able to work on-site in Amsterdam and legally authorized to work in the Netherlands.
• Foundational knowledge of Java and basic understanding of web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs).
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Passion for gaming and interest in how online distributed systems work.

Nice to have

• Curiosity about cloud platforms, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), or CI/CD concepts.
