What you will do

• Participate in the architecture and software design of bioinformatics solutions.
• Implement bioinformatic algorithms using efficient and reusable C/C++ code.
• Analyze algorithm complexity and develop optimal implementation strategies.
• Build and maintain pipeline infrastructures for on-prem and cloud environments.
• Handle performance tuning, system integrations, testing, and bug fixing.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a senior software engineer.
• 5+ years of experience working with C/C++.
• Proven experience implementing analytical algorithms in C/C++ or lower-level code.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, R, or Rust.
• Experience with public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience with bioinformatics algorithms.
• Knowledge of workflow management systems like Prefect, Airflow, or Luigi.
• Familiarity with pipeline languages such as WDL, Nextflow, or Snakemake.
• MS degree or other advanced studies in relevant fields.
