What you will do

• Evaluate and grade assignments for Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Middle School Science, providing detailed feedback.
• Host weekly virtual group tutoring and office hours to clarify curriculum concepts.
• Serve as an Academic Advisor for a caseload of up to 30 students, helping them meet their goals.
• Identify struggling students and collaborate with Academic Counselors to provide tiered support.
• Act as the primary point of contact for parents and students regarding academic matters.
• Participate in school initiatives and lead extracurricular clubs aligned with your expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Secondary Education, or a related field.
• Ohio teaching certification or the ability to obtain it.
• At least 3 years of full-time high school science teaching experience in the US, specifically in Chemistry and/or Physics.
• Must currently reside in Ohio, within 25 miles of Ohio, or be willing to relocate to Ohio.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and ability to learn new gradebooks and curriculum platforms.
• Willingness to use AI tools to increase efficiency in the education sector.

Nice to have

• Prior online teaching experience.
• Licensure or experience in special education.
• Ability to attend some in-person field trips and activities in Ohio.
