Gl Accountant

Focus on the accounting close process, compliance with internal controls, and external reporting obligations.

Location: Multiple locations across Europe (United Kingdom included)

What you will do

• Take ownership of monthly closing activities for ManCo entities by posting journal entries.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations monthly.
• Perform complex intercompany accounts reconciliations and ensure timely recharges for shared services.
• Prepare and review VAT returns for corporate entities and ensure compliance with tax authorities.
• Conduct monthly P&L reviews with General Managers and Controllers.
• Actively contribute to improving corporate processes, workflows, and internal controls.

Requirements

• You have a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3+ years of working experience in accounting or financial control roles.
• You have experience working in the finance department of a large, multinational organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS), VAT, and intercompany processes.
• You have great English communication skills (Dutch or Spanish is an advantage).
• Strong Excel skills and preferably ERP experience (NetSuite experience is considered a bonus).
