TL;DR

Key Account Director (Cybersecurity): Generating net new business within strategic enterprise accounts in the Chicago region with an accent on complex sales cycles and executive-level stakeholder management. Focus on driving revenue growth through proactive prospecting and leading strategic Proof of Value engagements for AI-powered cybersecurity solutions.

Location: Must be based in the Chicago area and able to work hybrid (3 days in the office).

Salary: $320,000 - $340,000 OTE

What you will do

  • Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition and upsell opportunities within a defined list of enterprise accounts ($1B–$5B+ revenue).
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including outbound prospecting and collaboration with regional channel partners.
  • Deliver technical product demonstrations to both technical teams and C-level executives.
  • Lead Proof of Value engagements in partnership with subject matter experts and technical solution engineers.
  • Influence enterprise-wide buying decisions by engaging with key stakeholders such as CISOs and CIOs.
  • Represent the company at industry events and contribute to market visibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience in a technical solution environment.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity sales.
  • Strong track record managing long sales cycles with average deal sizes of $500K+.
  • Expertise in sales forecasting and execution using structured methodologies like MEDDPICC.
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence.
  • Must be based in the Chicago area.

  • Channel sales experience.
  • Experience managing global or multi-regional enterprise accounts.
