Salary: $264,000–$310,000 USD (Base pay range)

What you will do

• Lead architectural direction for storage, streaming, and data lake platforms handling transactional and analytical workloads.
• Design and implement distributed systems including database sharding and proxy-based query routing.
• Optimize data freshness by evolving streaming and ingestion systems toward near real-time processing.
• Drive 0→1 initiatives for next-generation streaming, CDC, and data processing capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to align technical platform strategy with long-term business goals.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building and scaling large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in at least two: storage systems, streaming platforms, or data lake processing.
• Strong understanding of database internals (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) including replication and sharding.
• Proficiency with streaming and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Flink).
• Familiarity with modern data compute engines like Spark or Delta Lake.
