What you will do

• Design and implement backend services and data models using Scala and Java.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design methodology to crystallize business needs into software abstractions.
• Collaborate on the full delivery cycle, from domain modeling to production deployment.
• Work on complex engineering concerns including security, performance tuning, and observability.
• Contribute to transactional system architecture ensuring 24/7 reliability.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in backend development using Scala or Java.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Strong knowledge of OOP paradigms and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with transactional systems and concurrency.
• Analytical mindset with experience in independent software design and modeling.
• Must be based in Europe.

Nice to have

• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, or DB2.
