What you will do

• Manage and mentor a team of 5-7 copy editors.
• Oversee the copy editing of content tailored for healthcare professionals.
• Ensure all project copy adheres to AMA style guides and technical specifications.
• Perform comprehensive QA checks and annotate content based on source references.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently to meet strict deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with internal editorial and writing teams to maintain content quality.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of copy-editing experience with 1-2 years of leadership or mentoring experience.
• Deep knowledge of AP and AMA style guidelines.
• Master’s degree in Life sciences, Pharmacy, Journalism, English, or equivalent experience.
• Strong skills in fact-checking, proofreading, and medical data analysis.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, G Suite, and content management systems.

Nice to have

• ELS certification.
• Experience in copy-editing for the electronic environment.
