What you will do

• Explore and prototype novel ML solutions using LLMs, statistical methods, and classical ML.
• Integrate research outcomes into the broader software stack for real-world cyber defence.
• Optimize machine learning models for diverse environments, including edge devices.
• Balance high performance, low latency, and minimal memory usage requirements.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers and security analysis teams on diverse projects.
• Operate autonomously while contributing to team research objectives.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Machine Learning or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with Python machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, including transfer learning, embeddings, generative usage, and agentic functionality.
• Must be able to commute to the Cambridge office 2 days a week.
• Comfortable working in Linux and Git environments.
• Ability to operate as a team player with strong independent decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with agentic system tooling (LangGraph, LangChain, smolagents).
• Experience with cloud AI services (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Vertex AI).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and threats relevant to AI systems.
