Location: This role is available to candidates across Canada, excluding Quebec. If you are local to one of our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto) you will be expected to be in office minimum twice per week.

Salary: $149,600 to $176,000 to $202,400 CAD

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled workflows, services, and applications integrated with hirify.global’s internal data and systems.
• Implement and operate solutions using modern AI platforms and tooling (e.g., LLM APIs, orchestration frameworks, retrieval systems).
• Partner with Data Engineering and Data Insights on data modeling, classification, and metadata management.
• Contribute to developer accelerator tooling.
• Ensure solutions are observable, reliable, secure, and cost-efficient, with clear monitoring and operational ownership.
• Act as a technical mentor and thought partner within the Enterprise AI team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or AI systems development.
• Hands-on experience delivering production-grade systems that integrate data, APIs, and complex workflows.
• Strong proficiency in Ruby, Python, and experience building services, pipelines, or applications in a cloud environment.
• Working knowledge of modern data platforms and tooling (e.g., SQL, Databricks, dbt).
• Experience working with AI/ML or LLM-powered systems.
• Solid understanding of system design, reliability, observability, and operational best practices.
• Ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience operating in environments with security, privacy, or compliance constraints.
• Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI.
