What you will do

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of ~6 data engineers while driving execution and career development.
• Own the data platform, covering ingestion, storage, transformation, orchestration, and governance.
• Define and execute a data engineering strategy to support analytics, data science, and machine learning initiatives.
• Build and optimize scalable data architectures using tools like Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, and Airflow.
• Establish engineering best practices, including CI/CD, testing, observability, and data quality standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions that drive business decisions.

Requirements

• Must be able to live and work full-time in one of the approved US states or in Ontario, Canada.
• Proven experience leading and managing a data engineering team in high-growth environments.
• Hands-on expertise with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Deep experience with pipeline tools like DBT, Airflow, DMS, or Airbyte.
• Strong background in large-scale data architecture, data modeling, and streaming technologies (Kafka/Flink).
• Proficiency in Python and implementing CI/CD and monitoring for data pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML workflows or predictive analytics.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
