What you will do

• Architect and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs for the mobile app ecosystem.
• Design and scale event-driven architectures capable of handling high-volume user data.
• Improve system observability, monitoring, and production resilience.
• Partner with product, data, and frontend teams to deliver features through rapid development cycles.
• Participate in architecture reviews and define technical standards for backend services.
• Implement optimization strategies to resolve performance bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
• Hands-on production experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Experience with background job processing using Sidekiq.
• Strong background in designing distributed systems and building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, and SQS.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven or streaming architectures.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
• Experience integrating payment processors like Stripe.
• Knowledge of feature flagging and A/B testing methodologies.
