What you will do

• Work closely with Epic Art Leads, the Art Director, Outsource Managers, and artists to support external vendors.
• Communicate the art direction vision to vendors and ensure art is consistent and meets Epic's standards.
• Create concept designs for environments, characters, and FX within the Fortnite ecosystem.
• Collect or generate documentation, video reference, and examples of art asset production to support external vendors.
• Communicate and partner with internal Epic art staff to ensure outsource concept art is clear and respects limitations from other disciplines.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating a range of styles, creativity, and craftsmanship in visual development.
• Keen eye for anatomy, architecture, color theory, composition, and FX.
• Experience working on at least one AAA game in a Senior Concept Artist role.
• Effective communicator, collaborator, and problem solver.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to accurately estimate tasks and maintain schedules.
• Understanding of other game art disciplines, their workflows, and limitations.

Nice to have

• Fluency in a language other than English, including Chinese, German, Spanish, Italian, or Russian.
