Data Engineer (Fintech)

Data Engineer (Fintech): Building and maintaining core data infrastructure components to support hirify.global Pay services within AWS and GCP environments with an accent on cloud-native data pipelines, CDC logic, and cross-cloud resource management. Focus on adapting core data tools like Airflow and dbt to meet high reliability and fintech-grade compliance standards.

Location: Based in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania (Hybrid model with 2 days in the office recommended).

Salary: €3,558 – €6,517 gross per month.

What you will do

• Build and maintain data infrastructure components including ingestion, Airflow, and ML platforms.
• Develop custom CDC logic for AWS to ensure reliable data landing in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with ML, Experimentation, and Impact teams to deploy tooling like Feature Flags and model serving.
• Manage Airflow DAGs and dbt models to meet high reliability and fintech compliance standards.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers on configuring shared components in Kubernetes clusters.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain system performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience building and operating data pipelines at scale.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing cross-cloud resources with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Ability to act as a bridge between domains and manage a backlog independently.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kafka.
• Experience with Airflow.
• Experience with ML serving patterns.
