What you will do

• Evolve the in-house kernel DSL for internal and external developer usability.
• Design and implement backend compiler optimizations for heterogeneous hardware (CPU, NPU).
• Implement advanced strategies including memory planning, tiling, vectorization, and task partitioning.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and improve compiler efficiency through profiling and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with a distributed engineering team on compiler infrastructure and intermediate representations.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in compiler development, systems programming, or performance-critical backend engineering.
• Strong backend compiler skills including scheduling, memory optimization, and code generation.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Understanding of heterogeneous computing (e.g., CPU + NPU/GPU/DSP).
• Strong grasp of computer architecture (memory hierarchy, NoC, ARM/RISC-V/x86).

Nice to have

• Experience with compiler frameworks like MLIR, LLVM, or TVM.
• Knowledge of DSLs such as Triton or cuTile.
• Experience with RISC-V architecture and vector extensions.
• Background in deep learning optimization or hardware/software co-design.
