What you will do

• Design, build, and operate critical authentication services used across the entire hirify.global ecosystem.
• Lead the migration of core authentication functionality from legacy monoliths into modern, standalone distributed services.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to support their integration and adoption of authentication platform capabilities.
• Improve system observability, monitoring, and operational tooling to ensure high reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotations to manage and resolve production incidents in distributed systems.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and drive technical projects from conception to delivery.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States or Canada.
• Strong backend engineering experience building and operating production systems at scale.
• Experience building API-first services using Go or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience designing and maintaining production APIs, including HTTP fundamentals and RESTful design.
• Familiarity with authentication systems and Identity and Access Management concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized systems.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Debezium).
• Prior experience working on security-focused systems or platform/infrastructure teams.
• Experience decomposing monolithic systems.
