What you will do

• Design and implement APIs and domain services to support agentic product experiences.
• Build scalable AWS infrastructure specifically for MCP-powered interactions.
• Create high-quality developer tooling and documentation to streamline service integration.
• Define and enforce best practices for AI usage, focusing on auditability, cost-efficiency, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to build platform capabilities that solve complex educational challenges.
• Embrace AI-assisted software engineering while maintaining high standards for production-grade system design.

Requirements

• Software engineering experience with API design and distributed systems.
• Strong background in building backend services using REST or GraphQL.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
• Experience with TypeScript and Node.js (or strong desire to learn).
• Understanding of LLM integration, usage patterns, and semantic search technology.
• Must be able to work onsite on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Thursday strongly encouraged.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing or working with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Background in developing developer-focused tooling and API documentation.
