What you will do

• Design and operate scalable, event-driven backend services using Java, Micronaut/Spring, and Kafka.
• Build and maintain core systems for transaction monitoring, risk scoring, and reporting pipelines.
• Ensure production-grade reliability with rigorous unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate with internal and external payment and compliance systems.
• Optimize system performance and observability to meet strict regulatory standards.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools for efficient code review and development workflows.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with Java and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of consistency, messaging, failure modes, and concurrency.
• Experience building high-reliability, low-latency systems.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments like AWS and Kubernetes.
