What you will do

• Lead an empowered, multidisciplinary team to build and scale low-latency, event-driven market-making services.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts and stakeholders to productionalize trading strategies and risk controls.
• Design and evolve highly available components with strict attention to throughput, latency, and system correctness.
• Mentor engineering staff, conduct code reviews, and drive design discussions to improve overall system maintainability.
• Implement and monitor key operational metrics to debug, replay, and enhance quote and fill outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support to ensure system stability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience (or 5+ years with an MS) in software engineering.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, design patterns, and platform nuances.
• Experience in implementing production-ready quantitative models or high-load financial/trading systems.
• Expertise in testing concepts, test-driven development, and integrating quality assurance into the SDLC.
• Must be authorized to work and reside in the UK.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring other engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience building shared libraries, design systems, or SDKs.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Typescript.
