Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Any location, Canada

Salary: In Alberta, British Columbia & Ontario the base salary for this position ranges from $165,000/year up to $215,000year. For all other locations, the base salary for this position ranges from $135,900/year up to $185,900/year.

What you will do

• Design, build, and scale production environments using AWS and Terraform.
• Improve platform resilience through failure-based testing and automated recovery strategies.
• Design and deliver reusable platform components and self-service tools.
• Define and evolve observability standards across the platform.
• Own projects end to end, from initial scoping to successful rollout.
• Mentor engineers, uphold infrastructure quality, and shape best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Software Development roles.
• Hands-on experience operating production environments in AWS.
• Proficiency in Go or Python.
• Strong experience with Terraform.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms like ECS or Kubernetes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Exposure to Kafka or other event streaming systems.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure.
• Familiarity with systems security, compliance requirements, or hardening practices.
