Automation Engineer

TL;DR

Location: Remote (US-only)

Salary: $125,000 - $145,000 USD plus 10% annual bonus

What you will do

• Identify manual processes and translate them into scalable automation solutions.
• Design and deploy automation workflows using scripting, APIs, and AWS services.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to deliver automation that aligns with business objectives.
• Document automation processes and system integrations to support operational continuity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing automation pipelines.
• Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve automation solutions to ensure reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience designing and building automation solutions using scripting, APIs, or automation platforms.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
• Experience designing, consuming, or developing RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex operational challenges into actionable automation solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Sift for fraud detection, risk scoring, or trust and safety operations.
• Familiarity with Claude or other large language model APIs for intelligent automation and workflow augmentation.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools and integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, or similar).
• Understanding of compliance frameworks and the ability to build automations that support regulatory requirements and audit trails.
• Experience in product operations, including tooling, process design, or operational analytics.
