TL;DR

Salary: £45,810 – £59,990

What you will do
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for distributed cloud-based systems and microservices.
- Design and implement automated tests using Java-based frameworks like JUnit and TestNG.
- Test APIs and backend services using tools such as RestAssured or Karate.
- Integrate automated testing suites into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers to identify testing gaps and improve quality engineering practices.
- Support end-to-end and cross-system testing across web, backend, and data layers.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience building automation frameworks for backend systems.
- Experience with testing tools such as JUnit, TestNG, RestAssured, or Karate.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice architecture.
- Experience working in cloud-based environments like AWS and with distributed systems.
- Solid grasp of core Java fundamentals including OOP and exception handling.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience with BDD-style testing frameworks.
- Exposure to both cloud-native and on-premise architectures.
- Comprehensive understanding of testing strategies across frontend, backend, and data layers.
