Director, Finance (Fintech)

Director, Finance (Fintech): Steering the financial strategy of a rapidly growing fintech organization with an accent on translating company strategy into a rigorous financial framework. Focus on building board-level materials, leading financial diligence processes, and managing a team of two.

Location: In-office role based around Union Square, Manhattan (4 days per week)

Salary: $175,000 to $250,000

What you will do

• Own and refine the corporate long-range plan, translating company strategy into a financial framework.
• Build board-level materials, investor presentations, and strategic analyses.
• Lead ad hoc deep-dives on high-priority business questions.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to ensure financial considerations are embedded in decision-making.
• Develop scenario analyses and sensitivity models to help leadership weigh tradeoffs.
• Manage, mentor, and develop two direct reports.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Experience in investment banking and private equity or growth equity.
• Experience building models and synthesizing ambiguity into clear recommendations.
• Experience operating in a high-growth startup environment.
• Intellectual curiosity and a high degree of ownership.
• Excellent written & oral communication skills.
