What you will do
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and external scheme bodies to drive end-to-end delivery of payment solutions.
- Produce high-quality requirements including user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the UK product suite to provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze product change impacts regarding customer, operational, and regulatory dimensions.
- Manage functional and non-functional risks to ensure system resilience, scalability, and compliance.
- Track evolving UK payment landscape trends and translate them into actionable product requirements.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in payments or financial services.
- Deep knowledge of UK payment schemes and e2e processing (FPS & Bacs).
- Proven ability to translate complex requirements into clear, testable specifications.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and scheme requirements (e.g., Pay.UK rules).
- Experience working on high-availability or mission-critical systems.
- Must be located in the United Kingdom.
Nice to have
- API-first or cloud-native product experience.
- Experience working with tier 1 banks or payment processors.
- Knowledge of UK payment services such as CHAPS.
