Data Engineer, Lead (AI)

Location: Onsite in Washington, D.C., or Aurora, Colorado; applicants must reside in the United States at the time of application.

Salary: $93,584–$150,842 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence requirements.
• Define how data is stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed across data regimes and digital systems.
• Work with data users to create and populate effective data architectures, structures, and systems.
• Plan, design, and optimize data throughput and query performance.
• Select, configure, and optimize SQL, NoSQL, HPC, and related backend database technologies.
• Optimize full data pipeline infrastructure for data volume, ETL, periodicity, and analytical responsiveness.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph, or the ability to obtain a polygraph, is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, or additional qualifying experience in lieu of the education requirement.
• 3–8 years of experience conducting analysis using data engineering; up to 4 additional years may substitute for the degree.
• Demonstrable experience with data engineering tools and technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, and HPC.
• Thorough understanding of the ETL process.
• Applicants must reside in the United States at the time of application.

Nice to have

• Current CI polygraph.
• Degree in data science, data engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• 8 years of data engineering analysis experience, including recent experience within the last 2 years.
• Experience creating products for Object Based Intelligence.
• Experience with the Department of War and/or the U.S. Intelligence Community.
