What you will do
- Identify and prioritize high-impact technical and product problems to drive business value.
- Design and guide scalable backend and data-heavy system architectures.
- Own architectural decisions across services, databases, and system boundaries.
- Lead engineering execution through influence and effective delegation.
- Partner with product stakeholders to align technical strategy with business outcomes.
- Ensure platform reliability and efficiency under real-world load conditions.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in relational databases (SQL) including query optimization, transactions, and concurrency control.
- Proven experience designing distributed systems, including microservices, message brokers, and load balancing.
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of frontend integration points (React).
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive technical alignment through influence rather than authority.
- Must be located in one of the approved EMEA/South Africa/Turkey regions.
