What you will do
- Own the end-to-end application engineering strategy spanning backend, mobile, and desktop environments.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of senior engineers across multiple platforms.
- Define architectural direction for AI-powered workflows, ensuring predictable behavior and graceful failure modes.
- Design and implement observability, monitoring, and robust failure-handling mechanisms for production systems.
- Partner with machine learning leadership to integrate advanced models into shippable product features.
- Balance rapid development speed with technical discipline and long-term system stability.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading application or product engineering for complex software systems.
- Proven background building and shipping production-grade backend services.
- Strong understanding of AI-powered product integration and associated technical trade-offs.
- Deep expertise in system design covering services, APIs, and cross-platform data flows.
- Ability to operate independently and make high-impact decisions under ambiguity.
- Location: Must be authorized to work in Beijing, China
