Test Automation Engineer

TL;DR

Test Automation Engineer (QA): Developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks within an Azure DevOps CI/CD environment with an accent on Python scripting and TestComplete integration. Focus on enhancing quality assurance processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria, and ensuring robust test coverage for complex digital transformation initiatives.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Southampton, UK (Hybrid: at least two days per week in the office)

What you will do

• Define and improve quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for requirement validation.
• Collaborate with product owners to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct manual testing as needed to ensure holistic solution quality.
• Provide test automation training and support to the wider QA team.

Requirements

• Experience with multiple test automation frameworks and tools, ideally TestComplete.
• Solid proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and ADO Test Plans.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe).
• Ability to maintain test assets using GIT version control.
• Must be able to work from the Southampton office at least twice per week.
