TL;DR
Director of Mortgage Operations (Fintech): Leading the servicing side of a new second charge mortgage business with an accent on MCOB compliance, operational infrastructure, and scalable customer outcomes. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the London office. The team works in the office Tuesday-Thursday, with remote work allowed on Mondays and Fridays.

What you will do
- Define and implement all MCOB-compliant policies and procedures for the new mortgage product.
- Take end-to-end ownership of the mortgage servicing lifecycle including arrears, forbearance, and default.
- Establish effective strategies for high-stakes recovery scenarios and partner management.
- Collaborate with technology and data teams to automate operations and improve scalability.
- Build and lead a high-performing servicing team aligned with cross-functional credit and compliance goals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in mortgage lending, specifically within servicing leadership roles.
- Deep working knowledge of MCOB regulatory frameworks and Consumer Duty standards.
- Proven track record managing complex servicing scenarios like arrears and repossessions.
- Ability to thrive in an early-stage product environment while maintaining regulatory rigor.
- Experience collaborating across legal, credit, and technology functions.
Nice to have
- Direct experience interacting with the FCA regarding authorisations or supervision.
- Working knowledge of acquisition and underwriting workflows.
- Experience using data-driven insights to inform operational decision-making.
