Salary: $185,000 – $230,000 USD

What you will do

• Take technical ownership of core Registry domains including schema lifecycle, artifact pipelines, and workflows.
• Lead high-impact cross-team initiatives spanning platform, security, runtime, and observability.
• Build platform primitives, including APIs and data models that support internal teams and customers.
• Operate production systems by participating in on-call rotations, incident response, and postmortems.
• Mentor engineers, perform design reviews, and drive long-term architectural health.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US or Canada
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed, multi-tenant backend systems in production.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as TypeScript, Node, Go, Rust, or Java.
• Solid experience with relational databases and at least one of the following: key-value, document, or time-series stores.
• Strong grasp of observability, including metrics, tracing, logging, SLOs, and performance tuning.
• History of designing for safe production behavior including migrations, rollbacks, and incremental delivery.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GraphQL, GraphOS, or API gateways.
• Exposure to AI agents, tool/function calling, or agent orchestration platforms.
• Experience modeling tools or APIs for LLMs.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures like Kubernetes, containers, and service meshes.
