What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services powering conversational support experiences.
• Lead architectural design initiatives to improve system autonomy and long-term scalability.
• Operate complex distributed systems using Golang, Vitess, Kafka, and Temporal.
• Instrument services with OpenTelemetry and monitor performance via Grafana and Kibana.
• Partner with engineering leadership to drive technical direction and team growth.
• Mentor fellow engineers and foster a culture of quality and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Several years of experience building production backend systems.
• Deep expertise in Golang is required.
• Strong background in designing complex, scalable, and reliable system architectures.
• Pragmatic problem-solving mindset with a focus on maintainability.
• Ability to drive technical initiatives and influence architectural direction.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills to support team growth.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby.
• Experience leveraging AI and LLMs in production environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
