• Drive the growth and high performance of the security engineering team through effective hiring and mentoring.
• Refine the security roadmap and create technology strategies for security automation.
• Drive operational excellence in vulnerability management and incident response processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to improve organizational security frameworks.
• Provide technical guidance and foster an environment of ownership and critical thinking.
• Manage team resources, budgets, and professional development for individual contributors.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 8+ years of technical experience in security or software engineering.
• 3+ years of formal leadership experience as a people manager.
• Demonstrated experience managing geographically distributed teams.
• Deep understanding of security fundamentals including monitoring, secure coding, and incident response.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Go, or bash.

Nice to have

• Experience with applied cryptography and blockchain protocols.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as NIST, ISO27001, or SOC 2.
• Background in regulated financial services environments.
