TL;DR
Lead Fullstack Engineer (Fintech): Designing and building a next-generation platform to streamline data partner integrations for identity verification and fraud mitigation with an accent on architectural design, scalability, and API ecosystem development. Focus on mentoring engineering teams, architecting reliable systems, and translating technical vision into a concrete product roadmap using TypeScript, React, Python, and AWS.
Location: Hybrid role based in New York City; must be able to work onsite at the Union Square office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Salary: $198,000–$250,000

What you will do
- Architect and build a scalable platform to simplify the creation and operation of hundreds of data provider integrations.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to define technical strategy and product roadmaps.
- Partner with third-party vendors and clients to co-create solutions and ensure seamless integration within the marketplace.
- Develop, test, and deploy significant customer-facing features using TypeScript, React, Python, Django, and Node.js.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers and foster a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Manage complex relational data structures using PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in production-ready software development.
- Proficiency in client-side (TypeScript/React) and server-side (Python/Django) technologies.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and driving complex technical projects.
- Experience in maintaining and integrating with external APIs and data sources.
- Strong command of relational databases and data management, specifically PostgreSQL.
Nice to have
- Experience in the developer productivity domain or building SDKs.
- Prior experience in the fintech or financial services industry.
