What you will do

• Design and refine tool-calling patterns and agent orchestration for complex multi-step research tasks.
• Build ingestion and normalization systems for millions of structured insurance documents.
• Develop and iterate on reinforcement fine-tuning harnesses and research evaluation graders.
• Create tooling to profile and optimize agent pipeline performance, latency, and cost.
• Run end-to-end experiments and translate findings into clear product improvements.
• Collaborate directly with customers to deeply understand and solve core business problems.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and modern retrieval patterns.
• Proven track record of shipping high-impact work in ambiguous environments.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Must be based in New York City with ability to work 3 days/week in the office.
