Salary: 73,500 CAD to 136,500 CAD

What you will do

• Gather requirements and discuss solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Define clear specifications and coordinate or conduct the implementation into software.
• Perform comprehensive testing and create documentation and demos.
• Collaborate with key customers and partners to enable their success.
• Understand customer needs and drive adoption of products and solutions.
• Address customer challenges and further enhance products and solutions.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics, or similar fields.
• 3+ years in designing photonic ICs, through full design cycles (simulation, layout, tape-out, and measurement).
• Experience in photonic circuit simulation, and ideally electronic-photonic co-simulation.
• Experience in photonic compact modeling, preferably using Verilog-A.
• Experience in photonic device simulation and parameter extraction.
• Familiarity with electronic/photonic design automation (tools and workflows).
• Programming in C++, Python, SKILL, etc.
• Good communications skills and ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience working with foundries, using or developing PDKs / custom libraries.
