Senior Software Engineer (Web3): Designing and operating core backend services for the CCIP protocol to enable secure, fault-tolerant cross-chain transactions with an accent on system reliability, high availability, and performance under adversarial conditions. Focus on optimizing transaction processing latency, scaling throughput across EVM and non-EVM ecosystems, and building resilient distributed infrastructure.

Location: Global (Remote). Must be able to overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).

What you will do

• Deliver backend services coordinating cross-chain transactions across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
• Enhance system reliability and resilience to strengthen protocol trust and uptime.
• Optimize transaction processing latency through RPC and system performance tuning.
• Enable seamless integration across diverse EVM and non-EVM ecosystems.
• Scale protocol throughput to support thousands of concurrent cross-chain transfers.
• Develop internal debugging and replay tools to resolve transaction failures.

Requirements

• Proven backend engineering experience using Go, Rust, or TypeScript in production.
• Strong background in building crypto-native projects.
• Expertise in designing distributed systems with a focus on fault tolerance and high availability.
• Ability to implement security-first engineering practices in adversarial environments.
• Must be able to overlap working hours with EST.

Nice to have

• Demonstrated knowledge of DeFi protocols and ecosystem dynamics.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized production environments.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain bridges or interoperability protocols.
• Familiarity with non-EVM ecosystems such as Solana or Aptos.
