Principal Product Manager, AI (ML)

TL;DR

Principal Product Manager (ML): Scaling AI and machine learning across products, devices, and operations with an accent on applying AI in user experiences and building, deploying, and operating models, data, and pipelines in production. Focus on shaping edge AI/ML experiences and leading product direction for LLM and multimodal use cases.

Location: Hybrid in Boston, MA. Expect teams to come together in the office on two core days, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Salary: $174,000 to $256,000 annual base pay range.

What you will do

• Define and communicate the multi-year roadmap for key AI/ML capabilities across hirify.global.
• Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, and MLOps to design and deliver end-to-end ML solutions.
• Lead product direction for LLM and multimodal use cases.
• Drive cross-functional execution across product, engineering, data science, hardware/firmware, and operations.
• Ensure ethical and responsible use of AI, including privacy, bias, explainability, and safety guardrails.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, including significant ownership of AI/ML or data-intensive products.
• Clear track record of shipping production ML systems in close partnership with data science, ML engineering, and MLOps.
• Principal-level impact: leading cross-team initiatives, shaping strategy, and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of core ML concepts and lifecycle.
• ML experience with at least one of following: computer vision or sensor data, LLM-powered applications, and/or hardware or edge products.
• Excellent communicator who can make complex AI topics clear to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Prior hands-on experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or MLOps engineer.
• Experience with ML platforms.
• Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments.
