Application Engineer

TL;DR

Application Engineer: Supporting Node Transition Project work stream and resolving product issues by providing tailored solutions for new node devices. Focus on technical analysis of overlay/imaging data, troubleshooting, and communication with internal/external customers in Japanese and English.

Location: Based in Chitose, Hokkaido. On-site support is required.

What you will do

• Perform technical analysis on overlay/imaging data and connect it to suitable solutions.
• Collaborate with overlay or imaging experts from headquarters.
• Communicate analysis results to internal and external customers in Japanese and English.
• Understand customer needs, align problem descriptions, and troubleshoot under time pressure.
• Lead escalation and communication with hirify.global experts internally and act as a customer interface.
• Support EUV, DUV, YS, and VCP.

Requirements

• More than 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Flexibility and quick response.
• Ability to describe clear problem descriptions including customer use cases.
• Troubleshooting and data analysis skills, proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic project management skills.
• English: TOEIC >600, daily conversation level.
• Japanese: JLPT N2 or higher, daily conversation level.
• Japanese/English presentation and communication skills to lead technical conversations internally and externally.
