TL;DR

Technical Support Engineer (AI): Monitoring and optimizing real-world AI computer vision deployments in retail environments with an accent on complex edge/cloud infrastructure and system troubleshooting. Focus on investigating technical issues, building internal tools for automated operations, and acting as the technical interface between customers and engineering teams.

Location: Must be based in Berlin, Germany (Hybrid: 3 days in-office)

What you will do

  • Monitor and analyze live production systems using logs, telemetry, and video data.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to networking, hardware, and deployments.
  • Act as the primary technical interface to customers during rollouts and incident resolution.
  • Develop internal tools and automation scripts to scale support and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes and enhance overall system robustness.
  • Support on-site deployments as needed across Germany and Europe.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems and command-line debugging.
  • Proficiency in Git for collaborative version control.
  • Programming experience in Python or C++ to debug and write scripts.
  • Fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as connectivity and ports.
  • Fluent in both German and English for clear technical communication.
  • Strong analytical mindset and high level of ownership in customer-facing scenarios.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL databases and data analysis.
  • Exposure to distributed or edge computing systems.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.
  • Background in computer vision, field engineering, or system deployment.
