Location: Must be based in Munich, Germany (Hybrid role with expected office attendance).

What you will do

• Oversee VAT compliance, including returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, and SAF-T filings.
• Provide VAT advisory by analyzing legislation and proposing solutions for business transactions.
• Serve as the primary contact for tax authorities during VAT audits and inquiries.
• Drive process improvements and AI integration to automate VAT controls and ensure e-invoicing compliance.
• Coordinate cross-border VAT registrations and ensure adherence to local regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Tech, and Customer Care departments on VAT-compliant projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in tax advisory or an in-house VAT expert role.
• Strong expertise in Polish and EU VAT regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP systems like Microsoft Business Central.
• Fluency in English required.
• Strong ability to translate complex tax regulations into practical business solutions.

Nice to have

• German language proficiency.
• Knowledge of another European language.
