What you will do

• Implement and maintain scalable services for real-time card authorization, clearing, and settlement workflows.
• Build integrations with acquiring banks, card networks, and alternative payment method providers.
• Develop automated reconciliation pipelines to ensure financial integrity and ledger consistency.
• Implement threshold-based alerting and monitoring for transaction health and performance metrics.
• Contribute to secure systems compliant with PCI DSS and regional mandates.
• Participate in technical design and code reviews to ensure engineering excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2+ years of experience working on payment processing systems in production.
• Hands-on experience with card payment flows including authorization, clearing, settlement, and chargebacks.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles such as idempotency, fault tolerance, and consistency.
• Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful and event-driven APIs.
• Must be based in Serbia.

Nice to have

• Experience at a PSP, acquirer, issuer, or fintech platform.
• Familiarity with high transaction volumes (10M+ monthly).
• Knowledge of the gaming or e-commerce payments landscape.
• Experience with audit processes and financial compliance.
