What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for the 3DS payment platform.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and distributed system architectures.
• Optimize MySQL database schemas and queries for high performance.
• Identify and resolve production stability and performance issues.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor team members and contribute to architectural decision-making.

Requirements

• Must be based in Poland
• 5-8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 11+.
• Solid experience with MySQL, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and working with distributed systems.
• Understanding of secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10) and regulated environments (PCI DSS, GDPR).
• Experience with Apache Tomcat.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Background in payments or high-security domains.
