What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architectural decisions for generative AI systems including feature pipelines and inference services.
• Design and build scalable inference systems ensuring reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Define and standardize generative AI delivery patterns such as CI/CD, canary releases, and agent orchestration.
• Champion automation and improvements in developer experience, testing, and operational runbooks.
• Mentor and guide engineers across the stack to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product and Design teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric features.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling modern, distributed applications across both frontend and backend.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React or comparable frameworks.
• Proven track record of designing clean, maintainable frontend architectures.
• Demonstrable experience delivering production-grade, high-performance, and resilient generative AI systems.
• Experience mentoring senior and junior engineers while driving large-scale technical initiatives.
• Must be able to attend the Melbourne office for part of the week as part of a hybrid work arrangement.
