What you will do

• Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency real-time services.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Operate and maintain services in a distributed production environment.
• Utilize AI coding assistants to improve development efficiency and documentation quality.
• Support on-call rotations and incident response activities.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ireland
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with JVM-based technologies.
• Experience building RESTful services and event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS).
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong Java fundamentals and experience with distributed systems.
• Proven ability to use AI coding assistants and evaluate AI-generated code.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling data tiers with SQL/NoSQL and caching technologies.
• Knowledge of SIP and Stir/Shaken protocols.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana.
