Release Engineer

TL;DR

Release Engineer: Managing and optimizing release processes for a high-load in-house platform with an accent on CI/CD pipeline integrity, environment consistency, and orchestration. Focus on implementing Argo ecosystems, automating deployment workflows, and ensuring smooth release delivery across distributed microservices.

Location: Must be based in Warsaw, Poland (100% office-based role)

What you will do

• Collaborate with Operations, Infrastructure, and Development teams to streamline deployment workflows.
• Build and improve release processes using Jira and GitLab to support business and developer needs.
• Manage environment provisioning and consistency across development, testing, and production stages.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and implement branching strategies for high-quality service delivery.
• Automate routine tasks using Python and Shell scripting.
• Configure and maintain Kubernetes orchestration and ArgoCD rollouts.

Requirements

• Leadership and communication skills in a fast-growing environment.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes internal architecture.
• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD and Argo Rollout.
• Experience with GitLab CI and microservice architecture.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with MySQL and Redis.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of Nats, RabbitMQ, and Istio.
• Familiarity with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript stacks.
• Experience with Unleash feature flagging.
