Senior Investigator (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Investigator (Fintech): Conducting complex financial crime investigations related to cryptocurrencies, collaborating with public and private sector customers in the LATAM and Caribbean region. Focus on blockchain analysis, data analysis, and developing insights on illicit activity trends in crypto.

Location: Preferably based out of Colombia.

What you will do

• Collaborate with team members to support complex cryptocurrency investigations.
• Provide investigative and analytic support for sensitive investigations pertaining to financial crimes, including cryptocurrencies.
• Conduct research and data analysis, author reports, and present findings to team members and customers.
• Review the adequacy and completeness of investigations and data collection methods.
• Prepare in-depth summaries of data from research and analysis to set forth recommendations for investigations.
• Develop, update, and present workshops and training materials in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Requirements

• A degree in cybersecurity, cyber crime, intelligence, criminal justice, forensic accounting, data analytics, or a similar field.
• Previous work experience conducting complex financial crime investigations for federal government, intelligence analysis or law enforcement investigations, financial services or cryptocurrency companies, or equivalent forensic experience related to dark web, counter-terrorism, or technical analysis highly desired.
• Experience conducting open-source research utilizing public and private databases highly desired.
• Interest in and/or passion for blockchain/cryptocurrency technology.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Preferably based out of Colombia.
