What you will do

• Define the digital roadmap and architecture for the R&D domain by aligning business strategy with technology investments.
• Bridge the gap between user journeys and digital solutions to drive organizational change and efficiency.
• Lead innovation initiatives, including managing Proof of Concepts (POCs) for emerging technologies like Agentic AI.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Infrastructure teams to ensure robust solution design and security.
• Guide project teams through implementation, providing budgeting input and operational governance oversight.
• Apply agile principles to ensure solutions remain future-proof, scalable, and data-driven.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional ICT experience.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Groot-Bijgaarden, Belgium.
• Strong experience in product lifecycle management within process industries, including recipe-based production and traceability.
• Proven track record in systems integration (APIs) and architecture strategy.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Kanban).

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP PLM, or SAP QM.
• Knowledge of LIMS, Low code platforms (Outsystems), or PowerBI.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like RPA.
• Application development experience.
