Salary: €4,024 – €5,747 gross per month

What you will do
- Design and implement Kong API Gateway solutions within AKS, EKS, and OpenShift clusters.
- Manage the lifecycle of gateway components, including controllers and plugins.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor API traffic, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with Security and Application teams to define API standards, governance, and security policies.
- Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for enterprise-scale integration.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in the Netherlands with legal right to work in the Netherlands
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineer role.
- Proven experience with Kubernetes and container deployment platforms like OpenShift.
- Proficiency in scripting and IaC tools including Bash, Python, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with API security best practices such as OAuth2, mTLS, and JWT.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in complex containerized environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kong API Gateway.
- Knowledge of financial services technology landscapes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
- Understanding of legacy system modernization approaches.
